Dear Owner:

As outlined in the members’ notice dated 07 MAY 2020, please be advised that the annual meeting of the BOHICKET LANDING HOMEOWNERS ASSOCIATION (HOA) will take place on Saturday, 20 JUN 2019 from 9:30 AM - 11:30 AM in the classroom at the Swansboro Recreational Center (830 Main Street Ext.) in Swansboro, NC.

The only business to be transacted at the HOA annual meeting is: (1) Any open Old Business; (2) New Business as outlined in the meeting agenda; (3) Ratification of the 2020-2021 Budget, and; (4) the Election of two positions for the Board of Directors. A meeting agenda is attached to this notice as Enclosure (1) and can be downloaded from the Resource Center page on the HOA website (www.bohicketlanding.com).

Per section 3.4 of the HOA By-Laws, any other matter that a member wishes to discuss must be submitted to the Secretary of the HOA. Time permitting, this matter may be added to the annual meeting agenda. Otherwise, the Secretary will schedule a discussion on the matter at the next Board of Directors (BoD) meeting or a Member’s Special Meeting will be scheduled if required.

Pursuant to NCGS 47F-3-103 (c), included as Enclosure (2) is the budget proposal for the 2020-2021 year. The budget may be, by law, ratified without a quorum. Per section 4.5.(n) of the HOA By-Laws, the budget is considered ratified unless a majority of the members present at the meeting rejects the budget.

Also included as Enclosure (3) is a Proxy Appointment Letter. Anyone who cannot attend the annual meeting may designate a proxy to vote on their behalf (per section 2.8 of the HOA By-Laws).

- If you can not attend the meeting and want to designate someone else to be present and vote on your behalf, please complete the enclosed Proxy Letter and sign and date it. Completed Proxy Appointment Letters may be mailed to the HOA’s business address listed at the bottom of this notice, filed in person with the Secretary of the HOA, Nicole Freres, or signed electronically and emailed to the HOA email address (hoa@bohicketlanding.com).

Ballots for the election will be distributed at the meeting following the final call for nominations from the floor.

The BoD sincerely hopes that the date of 20 JUN 2020 at 9:30 A.M. will be convenient for all owners. We are also equally sure that the date will not be convenient for some, but it is simply impossible to choose a date which would be satisfactory for all members. If you can not attend, please be sure to forward your Proxy Letter (if you want to designate someone to be present at the meeting and vote on your behalf) prior to the meeting.
