Statements for the Bohicket Landing HOA FY 2018-2019 dues obligations were forwarded to all owners on or about 01 MAY 2018. A copy of this statement can be downloaded from the Resource Center on this web site.
The above assessments were due on 30 JUN 2018. Thank you to all owners who paid the assessment by the due date. Your timely payment ensures the association can meet its obligations for common expenses. Currently the association is owed in excess of FORTY-NINE THOUSAND DOLLARS ($49,000.00) in past due assessments, late fees, and interest.
A reminder was recently mailed to all owners who have not paid the assessment as of 02 JUL 2018. A final notice will be sent to any owner who has not paid by 01 AUG 2018. At that time, a late fee of $20.00 per month and interest of 10% annum will be charged on any remaining balance for any lot that is still in arrears. Additionally, if the assessment is not paid by 31 AUG 2018, the account may be turned over to an attorney for collection. The owner will be responsible for any attorney fees and/or court costs, as well, as the past due assessment, late fees, and interests.

A Notice of Intent to File a Lien was recently mailed, via certified mail, to all owners that are more than 60 days late on any annual or special assessment. If the owner of these lots does not make payment and/or arrange a payment schedule within 15 days of the date of that letter, then the account will be turned over to an attorney for collection and the filing of a lien.
The procedures for the assessment of monthly late fees, calculation of interest, and other remedies for the collection of overdue annual or special assessments can be found in NC General Statue 47F-3 and the associations By-Laws. Copies of the General Statue and the By-Laws may be downloaded from the Resource Center on this website.
