"Critter Condominium" is now on display as part of Williamsburg Contemporary Art Center's Camera to Brush exhibit along with Lydia Hoffman's “Le Roi,” the photograph which inspired my piece. This fun show pairs up painters with photographers, using the photographer's artful images as inspiration for the painter's interpretations. Lydia is also a talented painter and has multiple works in the show. It runs concurrently with the Trees exhibit in which I have two pieces as well.
Between the two shows, they have 211 pieces of original art, all created by local artists. These exhibits run through Friday, September 12.
Please consider visiting these entertaining exhibits at 110 Westover Avenue Wednesday through Saturday between 11 and 3. https://www.facebook.com/visitWCAC
Lydia and me with our companion pieces. Hers is a photograph of a beautifully decorated bird house with a tree frog peaking out of the entrance. She captured the image of this squatter in her yard. I had fun with my interpretation of her amazing work!
As mentioned above, Trees is the exhibit now in the Fireside Gallery at Williamsburg Contemporary Art Center and running through Friday, September 12.
Please consider visiting these entertaining exhibits at 110 Westover Avenue Wednesday through Saturday between 11 and 3. https://www.facebook.com/visitWCAC

My most recent mural created from my painting has been installed on the entrance wall of the La Vale, Maryland, Walmart. It is 12' 6" high by x 16' 6" wide, and, as I have certainly mentioned previously, is part of Walmart's Community Mural Program. NOW Art, in California, enlarges my painting ten times its original size and prints it on plastic film (a wrap). They then install it on the wall of the store entrance as part of this program celebrating local communities in Walmarts across the world. I am honored, once again, to have my artwork be a part of this program, and I hope it appeals to the good people of La Vale! (As you have probably guessed, the two individuals standing in front of the mural are store staff, and someone added the Walmart logo to the posting).

I am excited to have a second mural included in Walmart's Community Mural Program. This one is in Culpeper, Virginia. NOW Art in Los Angeles (https://nowartpublic.com/) installed it in late April. They digitally manipulated, greatly enlarged (to 10 feet x 20 feet), and then printed the image from my painting onto a large plastic sheet which they then adhered to the wall.
This is part of a program in Walmarts across the country to celebrate local communities, which I am delighted to have my artwork again be a part of. https://www.walmartmurals.info/
If your travels should take you all of the way to Kathmandu, please stop by the U.S. Embassy, where I have two paintings on exhibit in the Ambassador to Nepal's Residence as part of the US Department of State's Art in Embassies program. If you find yourself in scenic Stuart, Virginia, please stop by the local Walmart and see the mural I was commissioned to create, with a lot of help from the good folks at NOW Art in Los Angeles https://nowartpublic.com/. They installed it in early October. They digitally manipulated, greatly enlarged (8' 8" x 16' 8") and printed the image from my painting onto a large plastic sheet which they then adhered the wrap to the wall. A lot better than me on a ladder!
This is part of a program in Walmarts across the country to celebrate their local communities, and which I am delighted to have my artwork be a part of: https://www.walmartmurals.info/

I was glad to have Lily Pond included in the display of artwork by members of the Williamsburg Artists Group in the lobby of the Williamsburg Players Theater from late summer to mid October.
Brookdale Chambrel Williamsburg held its 3rd Annual Artful Blooms Gala for Alzheimer's on October 19 and I was delighted that my paintings were a part of this amazing creative exhibit.
The event featured local floral designers who choose a painting by a local artist to interpret through their floral designs. Local florists, Morrison’s, Williamsburg Floral, Blessings and Blooms, and the Flower Cupboard partnered with local artists for an afternoon of pulchritudinous artwork/floral design for an important cause. Robert Hunt interpreted my "Pond Parade" panting, and April Flowers interpreted "Sailboat Reflections." I think both created really beautiful complimentary arrangements!
Cynthia Odden on piano and Karen Stowe on harp provided beautiful music. Almost $8,000 was raised for the Alzheimer's Association!
I very much enjoyed meeting and sharing art with lots of folks at Williamsburg Artists Group's Fall Art Show and Sale at Bruton Parish House October 11 and 12. About 20 talented artists displayed artwork.

I was honored to be one of four Williamsburg artists asked by the Williamsburg Symphony Orchestra League to paint a violin or viola as part of a fundraising activity for their 2021-2022 season.
The instruments were sold in an online auction near the end of the WSO concert season in 2022. During the Williamsburg Symphony Orchestra season the violins and my viola were displayed at concerts and venues within our community. For more information, click here: WSO Viola . I am pleased that they all sold: https://www.williamsburgsymphony.org/strings-attached-encore-affairs
