My most recent mural created from my painting has been installed on the entrance wall of the La Vale, Maryland, Walmart. It is 12' 6" high by x 16' 6" wide, and, as I have certainly mentioned previously, is part of Walmart's Community Mural Program. NOW Art, in California, enlarges my painting ten times its original size and prints it on plastic film (a wrap). They then install it on the wall of the store entrance as part of this program celebrating local communities in Walmarts across the world. I am honored, once again, to have my artwork be a part of this program, and I hope it appeals to the good people of La Vale! (As you have probably guessed, the two individuals standing in front of the mural are store staff, and someone added the Walmart logo to the posting).

Happy to have another mural based on my painting installed as part of Walmart's enlightened Community Mural Program. This one was installed in October 2024 in the Powhatan, Virginia Walmart and is 20' high by 18'8” wide. NOW Art creates a wrap by enlarging my painting by a factor of ten and printing it on plastic film. They have the wrap installed on the wall of the store entrance as part of a program celebrating local communities in Walmarts all over the world. They digitally manipulated, greatly enlarged (to 10 feet x 20 feet), and then printed the image from my painting onto a large plastic sheet which they then adhered to the wall.

Previously, I had work in the Ambassador's Residence in Berlin, Germany from 1981 to 1991. I am excited to again have my work shared by the State Department to a new audience across the world.

If you find yourself in scenic Stuart, Virginia, please stop by the local Walmart and see the mural I was commissioned to create, with a lot of help from the good folks at NOW Art in Los Angeles https://nowartpublic.com/. They installed it in early October. They digitally manipulated, greatly enlarged (8' 8" x 16' 8") and printed the image from my painting onto a large plastic sheet which they then adhered the wrap to the wall. Brookdale Chambrel Williamsburg held its 3rd Annual Artful Blooms Gala for Alzheimer's on October 19 and I was delighted that my paintings were a part of this amazing creative exhibit.
The event featured local floral designers who choose a painting by a local artist to interpret through their floral designs. Local florists, Morrison’s, Williamsburg Floral, Blessings and Blooms, and the Flower Cupboard partnered with local artists for an afternoon of pulchritudinous artwork/floral design for an important cause. Robert Hunt interpreted my "Pond Parade" panting, and April Flowers interpreted "Sailboat Reflections." I think both created really beautiful complimentary arrangements!
Cynthia Odden on piano and Karen Stowe on harp provided beautiful music. Almost $8,000 was raised for the Alzheimer's Association!
I very much enjoyed meeting and sharing art with lots of folks at Williamsburg Artists Group's Fall Art Show and Sale at Bruton Parish House October 11 and 12. About 20 talented artists displayed artwork.

"Life is Better at the Beach" relaxed on the wall in Williamsburg Contemporary Art Center's "From Camera to Brush and Beyond…" exhibit from July to September. The show tasked painters with selecting another artist’s photograph to use as inspiration for a painting. I was fortunate to pair up with the talented Sherrie Payne.

I was very pleased to have work in the Collaborative Creations show at Art Speaks Gallery in Mathews through June 24 of 2024. My painting was a collaboration with Jennifer Schroeder, and is a bit different (at least for me) and really fun! I was honored to be one of four Williamsburg artists asked by the Williamsburg Symphony Orchestra League to paint a violin or viola as part of a fundraising activity for their 2021-2022 season.
The instruments were sold in an online auction near the end of the WSO concert season in 2022. The Symphony held a "Meet the Artists" event on October 8, 2021, prior to their concert and at intermission at Williamsburg Community Chapel, where you could visit with the artists who painted violins. It was a pleasure to support the Williamsburg Symphony Orchestra!
