If you find yourself in scenic Stuart, Virginia, please stop by the local Walmart and see the mural I was commissioned to create, with a lot of help from the good folks at NOW Art in Los Angeles https://nowartpublic.com/.   They installed it in early October.  They digitally manipulated, greatly enlarged (16' 8" x 8' 8") and printed the image from my painting onto a large plastic sheet which they then adhered to the wall.  A lot better than me on a ladder!
This is part of a program in Walmarts across the country to celebrate their local communities, and which I am delighted to have my artwork be a part of: https://www.walmartmurals.info/

If your travels take you all of the way to Kathmandu, please stop by the U.S. Embassy, where I have two paintings on exhibit in the Ambassador to Nepal's Residence as part of the US Department of State's Art in Embassies program.  Previously, I had work in the Ambassador's Residence in Berlin, Germany from 1981 to 1991.  I am excited to again have my work shared by the State Department to a new audience across the world.

I am also delighted to have two large paintings, "Ware Creek at the York" and "Rural" welcoming folks to the Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center in the main lobby.  These are paintings I donated to the hospital and am very pleased to share them with patients, visitors, and staff.

My "Alliance Yorktown" painting was in good company, having sailed onto the Williamsburg Artists Group's display in the lobby of the Williamsburg Players Theater earlier this year.   www.williamsburgplayers.org/wp  https://www.facebook.com/WilliamsburgArtistsGroup.

I was delighted that CW Equestrian in Pink was selected for the Artful Blooms Gala - Alzheimer's Association Fundraiser at Brookdale Chambrel Williamsburg on October 14 to benefit the Walk to End Alzheimer's.  My painting was paired with the talented Theresa Sisto's beautiful floral arrangement.

Local floral designers choose paintings by local artists which they interpret through their artful floral designs.  Music and tasty food stations featuring small plate/wine pairings were included.
It was a beautiful, well orchestrated event for such an important and worthwhile cause.

The Williamsburg Arts Council 2024 Arts Calendar reception on  October 15 at the Williamsburg Winery was a truly memorable event.   My painting, "Colonial Carriage Quartet" is on the March page of the calendar.

Artists selected for the 2024  Arts Calendar displayed their work.  A percentage of sales and the proceeds from the arts calendar allow the Williamsburg Arts Council to continue to support the arts in Williamsburg and provide student scholarships.

I was happy to have work in the Fantasia show at Art Speaks Gallery in Mathews August through September, a creative, quirky, and fun show!  The gallery is located at 279 Main Street and open Monday through Saturday 10am - 4pm.  I seem to be painting a lot of ducks and geese these days...

"Bremen Town Orchestra, String Section" played at Williamsburg Contemporary Art Center's "From Camera to Brush and Beyond…" exhibit from July 26 – September 8.  The show tasked painters with selecting another artist’s photograph to use as inspiration for a painting.

It was groovy to have work included in the HeART of Rock and Roll show at Art Speaks Gallery in Mathews from  June 30th  through July 24th.   Twenty artists used rock songs as inspiration, rock and roll themes, or even depicted recognizable musicians.

I was truly honored to have 124 King Street awarded Second Place in Williamsburg Contemporary Art Center's (WCAC) Annual Members' Show by Juror Jan Ledbetter (https://www.janledbetter.com/about), a very talented and award winning artist and art educator in her own right.  The show ran from May 31 through July 21 and featured works by 95 WCAC member artists.

I very much appreciate the Judge's comments: "124 King Street....I love this painting.  I love the artist's inventive design, the arrangement and relationship of interesting shapes and sizes, the limited color palette, and the intriguing reflections which draw me in to the work...all painted using a masterful acrylic technique".

I was also glad to have artwork in Williamsburg Winery's Spring Reflections exhibit March 31 through June 11

I was honored to be one of four Williamsburg artists asked by the Williamsburg Symphony Orchestra League to paint a violin or viola as part of a fundraising activity for their 2021-2022 season.

The instruments were sold in an online auction near the end of the WSO concert season in 2022During the Williamsburg Symphony Orchestra season the violins and my viola were displayed at concerts and venues within our community.  For more information, click here: WSO Viola .  I am pleased that they all sold: https://www.williamsburgsymphony.org/strings-attached-encore-affairs

The Symphony held a "Meet the Artists" event on October 8, 2021, prior to their concert and at intermission at Williamsburg Community Chapel, where you could visit with the artists who painted violins.  It was a pleasure to support the Williamsburg Symphony Orchestra!
