Emerald Green 1977

Emerald green (copper acetoarsenite) is a highly toxic, arsenic-based pigment. I inherited some old paints and noticed one tube was emerald green, which I had learned about in school. I decided to enclose it and other tubes in plastic and tell the story in my painting.

That's it for the narrative history of unsold work from my creative journey; I hope you enjoyed it. There are actually a couple of pool paintings from the early 90s that I left in that section, as I thought they were a better fit. As time goes by, I have definitely painted on a smaller scale and done a lot more local scenes, landscapes, and cityscapes after moving to the Williamsburg area from Maryland in late 2005.
