Uniforms & Equipment
For shoreside training the preferred uniform is Operational Dress Blue (ODU). Appropriate civilian attire is acceptable. To purchase uniform items, contact:
Metal insignia devices are no longer used on ODU's. Only sew-ons! - a metal device is used for the ball cap.
Underway
ODU's with boat shoes (not boots) are required.
PPE (PFD's and safety equipment) are required to be worn underway. Once you are fully certified as crew, the USCG will provide the proper PPE for your use. As trainees, your Flotilla FSO-OP will provide a "loaner" for your use.
