He left us with a smile
Life is pleasant. Death is peaceful. It's the transition that's troublesome - Isaac Asimov
Achan usually gets up early in the morning and does Surya namaskaram (worshiping the Sun).
On 18 August 2008, Bhasakra Achan attended Jaya Prakash's son's anna prasam (first rice ceremony) at Valyilyamkunnu temple. Thanks are due to Jayadevettan who clicked a snap then. Achan then visited Thiruvazhiyode Thirupurakkal Bhagavathy temple and the nearby Ganapathy temple.
Later he went for the usual round of dropping Hari in his school (Sreekrishnapuram Higher Secondary School) and then to our rubber estate. He took three bunches of bananas from katampazhipuram in his car and sold them to a shop keeper at Managalamkunnu (driving 10 kms).
He later visited the Village office at Katampazhipuram. While discussing with the officer, he was about to fall down due to pain on his back about the hip. The driver took him to the nearby hospital. Later he was discharged and was taken to Vadakkepat Ashtami-Rohini.
Upon consultation with friends in the medical field, he was being taken to Calicut Medical College for detailed check up. On the way after 1 hour near to Aryambavu, he drank some water. Leaning on to Haribhasker's chest, he looked at Cheriyachan (Krishnankutty) smilingly and patted Cheriyachan's cheek with his index finger ...then with a smile he left us ...
