Vaipur Ammachu Ammal were his parents. Within a year of his birth his parents moved to the present Vadakkepat family house. Bhaskara Gupta had an elder brother (late Ramakrishna Gupta), an elder sister, two younger sisters and one younger brother (Sri. Krishnankutty Gupta). The sisters were married off in their appropriate ages.
Parents: Sri. Vadakkepat Kunchu Gupta, his father was a widely known personality. He cruised through various fields like teaching, business, social activity etc and later had his anchor in the field of Document Writing. With his sense of idealism, purity of mind, independent thinking and sheer hard work, the various big landlords and Namboodiri families held him in high esteem who consulted him in revenue matters. He was the final authority in those days in the matters of land records in various families. Bhaskara Gupta’s mother was a pious lady fully devoted her life for her husband and children. In those days when her husband would be away for months together in connection with partition work in major families, she took great strains and pains to bring up the children in a simple but noble manner based on Sathya, Dharma and Daya.
Brothers: The eldest brother of Bhaskara Gupta namely Ramakrishna Gupta was a man of high organizational skills and social standing. He endeared himself with the poor and the down trodden, and thus became a great social activist. He taught in various schools and while working in Sreekrishnapuam high school had an untimely and unexpected death. By that time he had spread his name as an efficient and sincere social worker besides being an idol of worship for his students.

His poems are fine expressions of the august moods of the Nature, its ecstasies and also its varying and multifarious moods.
He is a strong believer of the theory of Karma and, took the ups and downs of the life in its own stride. He never desired for fame nor craved for recognition. Thus his literary works remained unattended and uncared for. He had a wide and deep sense of memory and he was at his best on Astrological matters.
