Performance Management
Clear direction and understanding of the work purpose is paramount for effective performance. Often people / departments / divisions lack this sight and fall outside the line of business interests causing misalignment. It is imperative that a business provide clarity on its purpose (mission) and what it is set out to achieve (Vision) for its people / departments / divisions to perform effectively.
Operational Performance Management (OPM) focuses on aligning departmental / functional / people performance in line with the overall business interests, by providing clarity on business purpose, work goals and objectives. OPM will lead to establishing organisational layer level goals / objectives / performance measures. Balanced scorecard methodology will be adopted to develop and implement OPM.
OPM can also be extended to devise a pay for performance strategy and a variable pay system.
