Rem 11 - A Warning to All

"Rem 11" is the story of a family that is torn apart by hate, revenge and racism. A film that brings to the screen a scenario that only happens in a fairy tale but that cannot be totally prevented from happening in real life. It is a story about love and how it can bring out the best in people even in difficult situations.

This was the only film directed by Ravi Kapoor to get an award at the Mumbai Film Festival. To tell the truth, there were a few other films he did as well that came close to winning the Award. But "Rem 11" is one of his best films. The hero and the heroine share a troubled relationship that makes the entire story turn darker.

"Rem 11" depicts a case where a police officer is framed for murder by a fellow police official and taken into custody. Later on, this same man commits a similar crime which puts him in more trouble.

In "Rem 11", we see this man begin a relationship with a woman from one of the most affluent families in the city. He is given a ticket to ride in the car of a married woman, working as a clerk in a bank. Their first night together is sweet and innocent and they get involved in a lot of problems from the start. Their relationship goes from bad to worse and then starts to work at a subtle level once again but not before dealing with revenge and hatred.

This relationship becomes more complicated when she falls in love with the corrupt police officer who was accused of murder. Soon, things change again and this time the protagonist realizes that she can forgive him but the only thing she can't forgive is him for what he has done. His determination to prevent the woman from losing her job makes him betray her and take her away from him.

"Rem 11" does not end in a happy way but as it finishes with the hero and the heroine accepting their differences, it is a victory for all. "Rem 11" tells a heart-warming story of love and redemption.

The title of the film is also inspired by the fact that the film was shot in the US, at a time when the US and India were enemies. The two countries had engaged in a war before and the film shares the painful memory of the tragic death of a mother from India and her two children from the US.

"Rem 11" was written by Mahesh Manjrekar and directed by Taren Fad. The film got a lukewarm response in the Mumbai Film Festival but was praised by critics at home. It went on to win a Best Actress award at the Best Film category at the Cannes Film Festival.

"Rem 11" is a very touching film and it is great to see that the makers had understood the need of making a film that depicts real human beings. The director had the courage to come forward and work with the actors and actresses and show them how to balance life and work to achieve greater creativity.

"Rem 11" is a great story with a certain message that one should not accept abuse and violence as being part of life. It will let us understand that nobody should accept anything personally.

"Rem 11" has made a great name for itself and that is a wonderful thing. If you have not seen this film yet, it is time to check it out and see if it is something worth your time.
