The BEPSII community is committed to gathering sea ice biogeochemistry data and providing analyses of raw data. Compilations of raw data are based on using the ASPECT-bio spreadsheet to format data and treatment with the “BEPSII ice core analyzer” Matlab routines. This format also allows for the integration of sea ice data in the SOOSmap repository (for Southern ocean data only)
Several compilations have been completed so far

The ASPeCt-bio excel log sheet
BEPSII encourage the use of the ASPeCt bio spreadsheet for data archiving since it allows
comparison of your data with BEPSII data bases
collation of your data with the other BEPSII data
use of the BEPSII ice core analyzer for standards tasks (reading a group of file, interpolating ice core profiles on the same grid,...)
integration of sea ice data in SOOSmap
The ASPeCt-bio log sheet is described in Meiners et al. (2012) and more thoroughly in Miller et al. (2015).
The BEPSII ice core analyzer –a Matlab package for sea ice core analysis
Processing hundreds or thousands of sea ice core data is cumbersome and boring. There are many issues: missing data, different core lengths and different depths for ice core sections. To facilitate this task, Martin Vancoppenolle coded several Matlab 2015 functions, performing standard tasks, like reading a group of files, interpolating ice-core profiles on the same grid, etc... All the things that one always needs to do and takes most of the analysis time. These scripts are shared "as it is". They are by no means complete or guaranteed.
They are based on the ASPeCt-bio excel log sheets

DMS Analyzer V.2
This script was developed, using the BEPSII Sea Ice core analyzer as a template, to facilitate the processing of large numbers of sea ice cores, snow and seawater samples from the dataset ‘Collation of DMS and DMSP in Antarctic Snow, Sea ice and Underlying Seawater’.
using a template from the Antarctic Sea ice Processes and Climate (ASPeCt)-Bio program.
Due to the nature of the data, BEPSII database ASPeCt-bio excel log sheet, each corresponding to an individual core, or snow or water sample. The DMS Analyzer script allows users to easily extract data from this dataset and construct vertical profile plots including snow, sea ice and seawater.
DMS Analyzer V2 has been provided by Gabrielle Burke and Pat Wongpan (2024)
