Our Bellbunya caterers can create delicious menus to suit your taste buds and budget. We produce wholesome, ethical, sustainable meals, using mainly local and organic ingredients. Our catering is fresh, with greens and many vegetables picked straight from our own organic gardens just before your meal, and eggs from our contented chickens, for a truly local, organic and healthy experience. Our cooking is based on what is in season and growing, so menus will change over the year. We will construct a menu for your group that meets your dietary requirements, group size and budget.Alternatively, you can arrange your own caterer provided they are willing to meet our ethical catering guidelines and relevant food safety standards.

At Bellbunya, we believe that every choice we make has the power to build a better world or weaken it, including the food we choose to eat. And so we ask self-caterers and third party caterers to meet Bellbunya's ethical considerations for food in the kitchen.

Food is to be sourced from ethical, sustainable sources. For example

    • Free range eggs, not caged eggs.

    • Where meat is served it should be ethically sourced, for example free range chicken, fish from sustainable fisheries.

    • Buying local wherever practical

    • Buying organically grown foods wherever practical

    • Care not to buy from unethical companies, for example Nestle (who cause thousands of babies to die through their unethical conduct with breast milk substitutes in the majority world); Proctor and Gamble, etc

    • Care to not purchase products that destroy habitats; such as orang utan rainforest habitat cleared for palm oil plantations

    • Minimal food packaging is preferred to reduce waste and consumption.

    • All organic waste can be composted or fed to Bellbunya's chickens or through our worm farm.

    • External caterers will need to take non-organic, non-recyclable waste off-site.

For more information, take a look at the Sustainable Table.

Practical information for external caterers

    • Caterers must agree to abide by Bellbunya's Ethical Guidelines for Catering

    • A $250 bond is payable for the kitchen (or cleaning cost taken from bond paid)

    • The kitchen will be clean when caterers arrive, and left in a clean condition.
