The cars noted in bold for each class above are the most frequently used by club members. If in doubt see what everyone is racing and ask. Class Rules

Body: Body and interior must remain as standard.

Chassis: Chassis must be the original Scalextric rather than aftermarket. Traction magnets must be removed. Weight (not magnetic) may be fitted inside the car. The chassis edges may be trimmed / sanded slightly in order to allow some body rock if it is clear that the original design is blocking that once the screws are loosened. On certain cars any gear cover mouldings, that can reduce the car’s ground clearance and therefore foul the track rails, may be sanded off.

Screws: Longer screws may be fitted to allow body rock as the standard ones are usually too short to allow much loosening without them falling out.

Motor: The standard Mabuchi “18K” “S” motor must be used, although the colour of the plastic end may vary.

Braids and guides: The original guide must be used, but braids from different manufacturers may be used. Wheels and tyres: All cars must use original sized wheels but the rear tyres may be changed for Mitoos M083 tyres only, as the standard tyres aren’t very good. Tyres may be glued and trued and treated with light oil etc.

Gears, axles and bearings: Gears, axles, bearings and pinions must be as per the original Hornby items.
