BIG Attends Amity School Grand Opening

THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 3. Bay Improvement Group officers Steve Barrison (President), Jack Spadaro (Vice President), and Tom and Georgette Scalese (Board of Directors) attended the Grand Opening of the Brooklyn Amity School on Thursday, November 3, 2011 on the site of what was formerly the Golden Gate Inn. Located at 3867 Shore Parkway in Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn Amity School is a private K-12 school that, according to its website, offers students "a progressive academic education, moral and ethical education, and a variety of extracurricular activities, including art, music, and community service involvement." Police Commissioner Ray Kelly, Borough President Marty Markowitz, and many Assembly and Council representatives were among the honored guests.
