Commercialization of various types of Motorized Barometric Vacuum Pump - Blower

Motorized Barometric Vacuum Pump is a brand new among all kinds of vacuum pumps.

Vacuum pumps are widely used in a wide range of industries (surely in over 50 industries including the medical and dental industries, sugar, paper and wood, food and dairy products, printing, bricks, textiles, mines and metals, plastics and rubber, slaughterhouse, chemical and pharmaceutical, glass, transportation, UPVC, oil and petrochemicals, water and sewage, agriculture, wires and cables and lamps, power plants, coating, and nuclear energy).

In many industries, it is necessary to evacuate the air to the extent required for the production of the product or service (because the air is harmful to the process or to use the difference between the air and the created vacuum). Performing air discharge is done by vacuum pump.

The designing and construction of Motorized Barometric Vacuum pump was carried out following physical researches, then with the support of a private company and then Isfahan Science and Technology town, and followed up with the development of several pilot samples and, finally, the construction of a semi-industrial sample.

For a few years, efforts have been made to make the invention commercial and, thankfully, these efforts have come to conclusion.

Efforts have been made in this direction that the pump has the desired qualities of common vacuum pumps, while at the same time it is especially cost-effective, which is significantly lower than the price of pumps in the market of similar quality.

The success we gained in this regard can be considered as a strong guarantee for commercialization. On the other hand, the unique design of the pump in the world can guarantee the expansion of its international market.

The main feature of this type of vacuum pump is the technical knowledge in its design. In other words, for the construction of this pump, there is no need to provide any previous infrastructure, and all the raw materials needed for it are built in and abundant in the country in the industrial market, and all the stages of manufacturing various parts of the pump and assembling them (especially with the necessity of making it cheap) is done in the workshop of the company.

At present, in the low and middle vacuum that covers the vast needs of most industries, there are several types of vacuum pump used in the industry, most of which are: Rotary vane vacuum pumps (oily and with dry blades), Liquid ring vacuum pumps, Diaphragm pumps, Piston pumps, Roots pumps, Scroll pumps, Screw pump, Claw vacuum pumps, Ejector Vacuum pumps, and Diffusion pumps.

The most common of these are the first two: Rotary vane vacuum pump and Liquid ring vacuum pump.

Rotary vane vacuum pump provides good vacuum quality with the usual pumping speed.

Liquid ring vacuum pump has a lower vacuum quality, but the pumping speed can be higher. Its price is relatively lower, although additional accessory equipment should be used for it.

Motorized Barometric Vacuum Pump, as a new option, along with other common types of vacuum pumps in the middle and upper vacuum, is a piston pump having some new inventive properties that are: the combination of two opposite pumps in the mutual phases, carrying out the entire vacuuming process in depth of oil (which is similar to the complete vacuum created above the mercury column in the barometric tube, which results in a very good vacuum), and the convenient automatic control process for opening and closing the vacuum valves.

All of these features have led to not only the use of commonly features used in piston pumps for relatively high power and pumping speeds and at the same time its relative low price (in which a routine piston system is used), but also unlike the current piston pumps, good vacuum quality (better than oil-filled rotary vane pumps) comes from it (mainly due to the function of performing all operations in the depth of oil).

Following the research and manufacturing of numerous experimental and semi-industrial samples, presently all designs for the production of five different models of Motorized Barometric Vacuum Pump - Blower have been drawn to enter the market. These five models have pumping speeds in cubic meters per hour as follows: 32, 117, 199, 296, and 370.

All the raw materials necessary to make them are easily obtained from the domestic market, which are mainly: internal rolled cylinder, electric motor, round and sheet of steel and aluminum, iron sheet and tube, ordinary hydraulic oil, seal, bowl bearings, bolts, o-rings, paints and glue, springs, and inverter.

The use of liquid ring pumps is more prevalent in various industries due to the relatively low cost of the pump, but due to the necessity of their accessories and the abundance use of water, many industries are replacing them with slightly more expensive pumps of rotary vane vacuum pumps (and this is affordable for them). Motorized Barometric Vacuum Pump can play an important role in this replacement because its price is low and gives a high quality vacuum and is easy to operate and maintain and its energy consumption is low and does not require any accessories. Therefore, after its introduction and entering the market, it is expected to be welcomed.

By making some changes in some vacuum pumps, such as in liquid ring pump and roots pump, they can be used as blower. Motorized Barometric Vacuum Pump is such designed that without any change can be used as Motorized Barometric Blower. As such, what mentioned above as Motorized Barometric Vacuum Pump is in fact a dual product named as Motorized Barometric Vacuum Pump – Blower, and this aids to justify its price as a completely competitive price.

Given the fact that I am currently in Iran and do not know the prices at the investment site, I cannot accurately estimate the amount of investment costs. But generally, to begin, we need these items: ​​a small industrial shed, a small lathe, a small milling machine, a small welding machine, tabletop and mini grinding machines, columnar and manual drills, a workshop table and a clamp, early workshop tools, and at least one to two skilled workers for work in the workshop. In addition to the share of the partnership that is negotiated and agreed upon, I myself will receive salaries in terms of practical work in the workshop for this project.

Dear friend

I have invented a new type of vacuum pump - blower (called as Motorized Barometric Vacuum Pump  - Blower), and I have patented it in Iran and have made several prototype and semi-industrial samples of it (in Iran). With the elimination of almost all practical problems of this device through trial and error and scientific and technical research, all designing for the commercial production of five commercial models of this device (which have pumping speeds of 32 to 370 cubic meters per hour) are now carried out. After studying the justification, I would like to note that, firstly, the commercial production of these five models is only for entry into the market, while the production of various models of this device in different capacities (including very large ones), according to market requirements and with the necessary investment, is easily possible. And, secondly, the invention has not yet been filed internationally and the investor can own partly the international patent. And thirdly, the investor's participation in commercialization of this device has to include my departure from Iran and residence in the place the Investor will consider for investment.

Motorized Barometric Vacuum Pump

 

 

Here a pilot sample of a new invented type of vacuum pump is introduced. All necessary tests have been performed on this pump successfully. Main specifications of this sample are as in the following:

 

- Discharge of the pump: 63 m3/h (1050 lit/min or 37 CFM)

- Least reachable pressure: under 1 millibar (under 0.75 Torr, or 0.1 kPa, or 0.0144 psi)

- Consumed power: Three phase, 2 hp

- Used oil: Ordinary hydraulic oil

Chief reasons justifying investment on production and 

commercialization of this type of pump

 

1- By looking at the DRAWINGS of the predominantly ferrous pieces and considering open tolerances for making them and use of ordinary piston mechanism for the pump and use of the cheapest Teflon for pistons and use of ordinary hydraulic oil,  you can easily grasp that the price of this pump will be observably lower than the price of any available vacuum pump (in the market) with the same pumping speed and reachable vacuum quality. (According to calculations, it will be less than a half. And the price will be even further reduced if the pumps are produced in Iran, because then they will be tax-exempt. (See Clause 3.)) Also its energy consumption is considerably low in comparison with other equivalent vacuum pumps.

2- This type of pump is protected by patent and none but the owner of the patent (presently the manager of our company) can produce and sell this type of pump for at least twenty years.

3- In Iran, this type of pump is a knowledge-based product. So, if you decide continuing the work in Iran, we can benefit from exclusive advantages allocated to knowledge-based companies in Iran for this pump. Among them we can point to exemption from tax, possibility of buying cheap land for factory, and many bank loans with low interest rates.

 

 

Development projects, made ready for this pump

 

The product introduced in this site is Motorized Barometric Vacuum Pump having no solenoid in it. Already, the prototypes having solenoid have been made and tested. Nevertheless, producing a complete pump having solenoid, over which all necessary tests can be performed successfully, is a priority project for R&D section of our company. Such a product will enhance not only the quality of the obtained vacuum but also the pumping speed.

The other priority development project of our company in relation to this pump, for using it as a high vacuum pump, is manufacturing this pump with a mechanical feedthrough set up in it. Its inlet and outlet will be connected to other (barometric) vacuum pump in the composition of a circuit having valve in order that, before starting the pump, all the oil inside it will become degassed. This causes the quality of the vacuum to be raised up to high vacuum without any decrease in the pumping speed. The price of the system (comprising of the two pumps, circuit, and the valve) will not have any increase more than two and a half times.

This type of pump can also be used as blower. In this respect see HERE a short film of the function of its experimental sample as a blower. So, some development projects will be performed to find proper applications and uses for this pump produced solely as blower (eg for blowing, compressing, or displacing air or other gases).
