"That one indeed is a man who, today, dedicateth himself to the service of the entire human race."
-- Baha'u'llah, Gleanings from the Writings of Baha'u'llah, pg. 249.
- We talked about different ways children already help out at home. We also talked about what ways they could help out at home.
- We practiced some of the ways they can help out (washing the dishes, setting the table, folding clothes, etc.).
- Each kid got to select a secret service item - a task they were supposed to perform at home without asking. This was their secret service mission (they were told to not share it with their parents which made it so much more exciting!).
- We ended each children's class with a big bowl of fruit. In this class all students helped to prepare the fruit and to serve the fruit. And in all the later classes children were the ones who were serving the fruit. Someone got to help giving the bowl to the person selecting the fruit, one kid got to place the fruit in the bowl, others gave bowls out.
