We are just a group of Bahá'í and non-Bahá'í moms and dads trying to run children's classes for our and neighborhood children. We started when the youngest one was 2 (most others were 3). At that time we tried to pick the easiest virtues we could think of. We then continued with little older kids with Grade 1 in Book 3 (currently not posted on this site). And right now we are working with now 7-8 year olds on Grade 2. We hope to post about our attempts on these lessons as we go through the year.
The aim of this site is not to compete or repeat the Book 3 materials. Instead, it is to complement the materials given in book 3. The ideas come from our teachers and parents, but also from different Baha'i and non-Baha'i websites. Especially in the beginning (when working with toddlers) we had to come up with a lot of our own material because there was very little available on small children and how to teach virtues to them. As we get to older ages, more of the ideas come from different other sites. There are excellent resources for teaching kids! These are our attempts to help kids to learn and understand and we hope that perhaps it will helps someone else to take on the journey to lead children's classes in their neighborhood.
We have posted on the following topics for toddler classes (3-4 year olds). The classes were led by Carolina Rivas. Songs were created and led by Warren Waren. Ideas were contributed by all parents involved.
We have just started with our second grade materials (in Fall 2018). We will try to post as we go through the classes this fall.
