COME PUTT WITH US!

The Men's Putters Club is for men who want to test and improve their putting skills and enjoy a Friday morning "on the green."All putting skill levels are welcome from the most proficient to those who simply want to learn and practice.

Putting Location 

Putting is held on the Great Eagle Golf Club nursery green inside the Happy Trails Gate.

(Near Hayden & Thornberry in Arizona Traditions)

THE 2024-2025 PUTTING SCHEDULE

Pre-Season 

The 2024 pre-season will be held on Friday October 11, 18 and 25.

Our wives and lady friends are invited to join us for this coed putting.

Check-in will be held at the Great Eagle nursery green between 8:00 and 8:30 AM.

Regular Season 

The regular season begins Friday November 1 and runs through Friday April 25, 2025. 

Check-in is between 8:00 and 8:30 AM in the Arizona Traditions Neighborhood Center and putting begins at 9:00 AM. 

In January and February, to avoid frost delays, Check-in is 8:30-9:00 AM and the starting time is 9:30 AM.

 

Holiday Putting

Thanksgiving putting will be held on Friday November 29, 2024.

Christmas / New Years putting will be held on Friday, December 20, 2024 and Friday December 27, 2024

Our wives and lady friends are also invited to join us for this coed holiday putting. 

Valentines Day Putting

Valentines Day putting will be held on Friday February 14, 2025.

Our wives and lady friends are also invited to join us for this coed putting. 

Post-Season

The 2025 post-season will begin Friday May 2 and continue during the month.

The final putting session will be determined by the participants.

Check-in will be held at the Great Eagle maintenance green between 8:00 and 8:30 AM.

A PUTTING SESSION

A typical putting session consists of 36 holes varying in length from 15 to 30 feet.

Putting sessions last about 75-90 minutes.

Monetary rewards are given for holes-in one or "aces."

Low gross and low net (by flight) prizes are also awarded. 

Some days the putting session will include a "special event" including:

- 36-hole most points competition.

- Arizona Traditions versus Happy Trails.

Monetary rewards are also given to special event winners.

PUTTING TOURNAMENTS & ANNUAL MEETING

John Stewart Tourney

             The John Stewart Trophy is awarded to the putter with the most holes-in-one during the regular season,                          November 1, 2024 through April 25, 2025.

Winter-Spring Tourney

The Winter-Spring Trophy is awarded to the putter with the most holes-in-one during the January-March period.

The tourney will begin on January 3 and end on March 28, 2025. 

Club Championship

The Club Championship will be held on March 7, 14 and 21, 2025.

Club and Consolation Champions will be crowned for two flights.

Annual Meeting

The Annual Meeting and Club Championship Awards Presentation luncheon will be held on Friday March 28, 2025.

The luncheon is complimentary for club members.

Membership & Guests

The club is open to residents of any senior community in the Surprise area. 

Prospective members may putt free, one time, but are not eligible for monetary rewards.

Club member guests of any age or sex are welcome to putt with us. 

Putters & Balls 

Putters and golf balls will be available for guests and members who may need them.

Dues and Fees

The annual membership dues are $25.00. The weekly putting fee is $5.00
