Edenmaze:
People like myself, aka Eden maze did "not" support that ridiculous "brown out" (as I refer to it as, use your imagination as to why I label it that), either. The thing that honestly doesn't make any sense to me, is how users who use excessive profanity, can still do just that~ All that’s going to happen is that they are going to get a "mature content / over 18" label and they can't get front page YT exposure. It's not anyone’s "right" to abuse profanity publicly, or at a private party.
Edenmaze:
While I don't agree with you on this whole "brown out" nonsense.... I do have to compliment you on your ratio of channel subscribers to your own channel subscriptions. Your 930 subscribers to about 40 subscriptions is a respectable ratio~ Well done~ :~d
Arm4g3dd0nx:
Thanks. :)
Edenmaze:
Np~ All BS aside~ a fact is a fact~ Having a respectable ratio like that has nothing to do with "opinion".... The fact is, you have what I would deem a "successful yt channel" You could apply for YT partner~ it doesn't pay beans on a regular basis, but, if a YT partner gets featured and they get half a million or better yet, a million views, they can literally earn a couple thousand dollars in a few days. The autoplay and banner links are nice as well~ Merry Christmas~
Arm4g3dd0nx:
Well supposedly YouTube doesn't allow ad-sense for gameplay footage. So aside from a couple advantages here and there, all that would really happen is you guys would see more advertisements. That's not cool in my book.
Edenmaze:
As far as the whole ad thing goes.... I felt the same way at first~ I really did, but then I applied for a YT partnership out of sheer curiosity.... You know.... Just to see if I could get approved or not~ and low and behold I got accepted~ I only had 230 subscribers at the time~ The ultimate act of "rebellion" for a guy like you, is to apply for it, get accepted and then reject it. Now that’s a protest! :~d Cuz otherwise, ya don't even know if you have "what it takes" to begin with
Arm4g3dd0nx:
I don't really want to burn that bridge however.
Edenmaze:
Spoken / typed like the "closet opportunistic/ fence sitting, putz, that you "really are" I'm done with you~ Merry Christmas dumbass~ P.s. My hair sucks big time, but yours is even worse~
Arm4g3dd0nx:
Ok, so what your angry about is that I give moderate support to something I agree with, but am not willing to go so far as to make enemies? Wow you're right man. I'm just the worst person ever! God, if everyone was like me in that manner, just think of how terrible the world would be! *shudder*
Arm4g3dd0nx:
Oh, and I’m not even in this video. You're insulting someone else's hair.
Edenmaze:
# 1 You couldn't make me angry if you tried.... Foolish yt banter like this is "nothing" but a good time~ :~d Linguistically slapping dorks like u is nothing but "fun" :~d Thanks for giving my Christmas present early~ Your "the gift" that just keeps on giving~ Giving "****"
Edenmaze:
Dude~ save it for the "magic mirror"
Edenmaze:
I didn't know that~ But if I was in an executive decision position at yt I would make the same call~ I always felt that uploading screenshots of anyone playing a video game was kind of lame, relatively speaking. I have this friend, he's an older guy, and I would go over to his house every now and then and visit, and he would pop in these video cassettes of him playing playstation~ I would tell him I just simply wasn't interested in the least bit. It always struck me as being totally weird.
Arm4g3dd0nx:
Screenshots? You mean screencasts. And if you’re not interested in lp's, how do you even know about me? :p :)
Edenmaze:
Don't even start to think you can "pawn" me dude~ The only reason I even noticed you in the 1st place, is because I just simply searched YT for "blackout supporters" and your dumbass video came up~ You can go right back to where you came from~ all I’m saying is that YT kicked the brownouts ass. They are gonna kick even more ass to come~ "Customize" your control for that
Arm4g3dd0nx:
I don't know why you went from a position of rational thought to a, "yt kicked the brownouts ass." It's not hurtful in the least; it only makes you look like an idiot.
Edenmaze:
Dude~ the only idiot is anybody who supported the "black pout" Bahahahahhah... That’s funny... "black pout" I still got "it" :~d
Edenmaze:
My comments to you are not meant to "hurt".... They are meant to "provoke the re-examination" of the mindset of the user I’m replying to. They are also meant to entertain~ Whether they do or not is completely "subjective" and open to interpretation~ That’s my "purpose" though~ I also enjoy expressing myself in this text format~ so in that sense, it's a bit selfish. I'm having a good time~ :~d
Edenmaze:
Dude~ you "males between the ages of 16 and 35 have every right in the world to "protest" about anything you want. The fact is, is that you-tube needs to be regulated~ YT has tried for a few years to let the YT community "police itself" and it just simply didn't happen. Too many users just simply refused to obey the YT upload rules. That’s how the whole 1.6billion $ Viacom thing started. There are "events" that occur on this website that are literally illegal in any other format.
Arm4g3dd0nx:
Wait, are you saying females don't have the right to protest?
Edenmaze:
Of course not, I'm not a moron~ I'm not the birghtest guy in the world, but I'm also not the stupidest. All I'm saying is that I viewed TONS of "BROWN POUT" support videos and EVERY SINGLE one of them was posted by a male between the ages of about 16 to 35. I'm sure there are exceptions, but that was the norm. People used to tell me women were smarter than men, I never believed it, until this.
Arm4g3dd0nx:
Why are you opposed to the blackout?
Edenmaze:
Because it's ridiculous. You guys can still use excessive profanity~ yt is still going to allow you to abuse language~ anybody is just going to get a mature / over 18 banner on their video, and they can't get on the front pages of yt and get honors~ That’s all~ I really don't get your angst. So what~ just don't use excessive profanity and get top honors expressing your views~ What’s so hard about that?
Arm4g3dd0nx:
If that was how they were going to implement it, I would have nothing against it. That however, is not what YouTube is doing. They are making videos with profanity or explicitness perform more poorly in most viewed/most discussed etc lists. Let's say your video is a "rising video". Normally the people that look at that list of videos will help your video get on more lists like most viewed and most discussed. If this algorithm makes it so you don't end up showing on the "rising videos", you'll end up failing to reach your deserved audience. This is a form of communication that wasn't stopped, but was greatly hindered. And it is against freedom of speech. In conclusion: I do not oppose regulation. I oppose this method of regulation.
Edenmaze:
This is obviously simply where you and I disagree~ The fact is that it is not against freedom of speech. You and anybody else can literally discuss anything.... Literally.... You can even do it with excessive profanity if you still want to..... You’re just going to get a mature warning and not get any honors~ so what.... If you still want honors then just don't curse. Why is that so difficult for you "guys"?
Arm4g3dd0nx:
Once again I state that that is not what YouTube is doing. "You're just going to get a mature warning and not get any honors~ so what...." You are wrong; I wouldn't be opposed to that implementation.
Arm4g3dd0nx:
I don't mind a debate; your text is kind of hard to follow however. Can you not use so many return carriages please?
Edenmaze:
Further response to, "Why are you opposed to the blackout?"… Civil protesting as a concept is fine, but the brown pout was a misguided protest~ Nobody has the "right" to use excessive profanity in public or at a private event. They just don't. The 1st amendment does not state that. If anybody uses excessive profanity in public they can be arrested for being a "public nuisance" Excessively profane people are infringing on other people’s rights if anything~
Arm4g3dd0nx:
Actually you’re completely wrong. As long as you aren't doing anything physical or particularly loud, or perhaps in a setting with children, you can be as profane as you want. Legally you're even supposed to be allowed to cuss out a police officer if you do absolutely nothing threatening. However I wouldn't recommend it, he/she will probably find something to arrest you for.
Edenmaze:
No I’m not wrong. Just try it some time and see what happens. Go stand on a crowded public street corner and use excessive profanity for an extended period of time, and see what happens~ You will find out how it is against the law~ If anybody complains and calls the cops, you can and will be arrested. Also a person cannot yell fire in a crowded theater if there is no fire~ A person can't just say anything, anytime
Arm4g3dd0nx:
"Also a person cannot yell fire in a crowded theater if there is no fire~ A person can't just say anything, anytime" This part is true.
Edenmaze:
Look, I "understand" your position. I respect your right to "civilly protest" I just seriously disagree with the content / cause of your protest. The thing that never ceases to honestly amaze me, is that you "disgruntled users" stay on you-tube~ I mean this in all sincerity~ why don't you just create a website called something like: We use excessive profanity because we can, dot com. Or, "We are profane because we like to be profane, dot net" And enjoy & knock yourselves out.
Arm4g3dd0nx:
Because that's not my point.
Edenmaze:
Whatever~ that’s fine~ I’m going to call it a night. You take care now~ and I really do wish you well as a human being~ take care~ merry Christmas~ :~d
Edenmaze
What’s weird is how you "guys" want to use excessive profanity in a place / environment that has told you from the very beginning that it doesn't want you to use excessive profanity, the original YT upload rules... And then when anybody suggests you start your own website so you can be as profane as your little heart’s desire, you say no.... We don't want that..... We want to be profane here, not there... But here.... Where they ask us not to do it. There’s something weird about that.
