I've been remiss at posting anything about the summer adventures of our wine club. So here goes, from my memory banks. If anyone has any corrections, please feel free to email them to me.
On August 16, 2020 Sherry and Roy Nesler hosted our annual Member Appreciation dinner. Many of us look forward to this event just to see what Sherry will cook up for dinner. As usual, the meal was spectacular. Beef burgundy served with a wide variety of wines from the Nesler's cellar and brought by guests. Sherry also made her wonderful Caesar salad and a cake (was it carrot?)
Some guests brought appetizers or a dessert. Yum.
Thank you Sherry and Roy for starting this well-loved tradition.
On September 20, 2020 Pat and Max VomSteeg hosted a Planning Dinner. The real purpose of this meeting is so that members can sign up to present chapter events in the coming year, but most of us attend for the food, wine and great company.
Pat always prepares a wonderful dinner and coordinates with attendees to provide a well-rounded meal. In addition to the delicious beef stew, we enjoyed Miriam's mushrooms with aioli, Elaine's fresh green salad, Sherry's cole slaw and potato salads, and Susan's apple tart.
Members brought wines to share. For the first time many of us tasted wine made in New Hampshire. Though Frank and Jackie were not able to attend, Frank dropped off a bottle of his double gold award winning zinfandel for all to taste. Thank you to everyone for making this meeting a wine tasting adventure.
if you were unable to attend, please contact Roy to see what assignments you received. (Joking)
