GETTING TO UNIVERSITY OF PUGET SOUND

BY AIR:
The University of Puget Sound is located in Tacoma, immediately adjacent to Seattle, and a 30 minute drive from SEA/TAC airport.
Transportation from Seattle/Tacoma (SEA/TAC) International Airport to the University of Puget Sound:
$3.50 to Tacoma Dome Station, no transfer needed.
Hours: 04:30 am -> 11:30 pm (leaves approx. every 30 minutes)
We'll pick you up at the Tacoma Dome Bus Station. Contact Toby Laverty, tllaverty@gmail.com, 510-866-1224 as you leave Sea/Tac.
Take any Skybridge from the Terminal to the Parking Garage (Floor 4) and follow the directions to the Link Light Rail Station.
The bus passenger drop-off area is located across the street from the elevated Link Light Rail. A pedestrian bridge connects the Light Link Rail area to the bus terminal at the street surface below.
Shared Ride Shuttle
The Capital Airporter (800-962-3579) provides door-to-door service to the University from Sea/Tac.
Fare: $31. Departs 6:30 am -> 12:30 am.
Directions: After collecting your luggage, stay inside and follow the signs to Scheduled Airporters which will take you past the last Baggage Carousel #1. Their Customer Service Counter is located inside the building near Door #00.
Via Yellow Cab
Should you arrive later than the last bus at 11:30 pm (or Shuttle at 12:30 am), cab service is also available. If you are planning to arrive at the airport late, contact Transportation Coordinator Toby Laverty, tllaverty@gmail.com, 510-866-1224, and he can let you know who is also arriving around that time so you can coordinate a cab ride. Cabs are $70.00 for one person, no extra charge for additional people. Cab stand is 3rd floor of parking garage.
BY AMTRAK:
Amtrak stops in Tacoma. We'll pick you up at the station. Contact Transportation Coordinator Toby Laverty, tllaverty@gmail.com, 510-866-1224 when you get near Tacoma. Trains have internet and cellphone service.
BY CAR:
From I-5 (headed South), take Exit 132B for WA 16 W. Then take Exit 1B for northbound Union Ave (right turn). From Union Ave, turn right onto N 11th (inside the campus), then left on N Lawrence St. Registration is in Wheelock Student Center, at the end of the road.
From I-5 (headed North), take Exit 132 for S 38th St. Stay to the left on S 38th, following signs for WA W 16/Gig Harbor/Bremerton. Proceed as above to Exit 1B, Union Ave.
