All applications should be received by the Scholarship Committee by March 21st. Funds availability will be limited after that date. All funds (self-pay or from other sources) must be received by May 11th deadline.

AVP USA is pleased to be able to offer scholarships to the National Gathering. If you have a strong desire to attend the National Gathering, but can not afford to pay the full cost, you are encouraged to apply for a partial scholarship from AVPUSA. The scholarship committee awards partial scholarships in order to help a greater number of people and with the hope that others in your life or AVP world will help you raise the remaining funds. Please request the amount that truly need.

Apply soon! Scholarships are based on Double occupancy only. Maximum award is $310.

Before you submit your application please secure a recommendation letter from your local AVP group or if there is no active group, an AVP facilitator with whom you work.

Reference letters should contain:

Involvement of this individual in AVP
Leadership roles in your local AVP work
How your attendance at the Gathering will benefit your Local Chapter
Ways in which the local group will support her/his participation in the gathering

The scholarship scholarship committee bases its decisions on your involvement with AVP, taking into consideration other factors such as:

Formerly incarcerated facilitator
Current Facilitator
AVP/USA committee member
Conference presenter
Conference worker
First-time attendee
Underrepresented populations
