We love getting together after school and getting to know other Avon families. The PTA hosts many Family Fun Nights each year. Dates for the 2019-2020 school year are coming soon. We need a lot of volunteers to help organize these events so they are a success for the school community!

Community Service

We feel strongly that it is important to teach the children about supporting the community that supports them. We do this through different community service projects each year. If you would like to help our Community Service Chair in any of the planned projects, please contact Trish Seaman at avonohiopta@gmail.com
Conference Meals
Conference Meals
Conference days are long days for our teachers. In order to make sure they have a nice dinner on these conference days, the PTA supplies them meals. Your head room parent, and the "Class of" Facebook pages will send out links for different kinds of donations for these meals. Keep a look out for those links. Conferences are held in November and March.
Book Fair
Book Fair
Scholastic Book Fair comes to Avon Early Learning Center and Avon East twice a year, during conferences. We are always in need of volunteers to help staff the book fair so the students and parents can purchase books. Look for sign ups to come out for book fair from your Head Room Parent email and "Class of" Facebook pages.
Holiday Helpers
Holiday Helpers
Christmas time is busy for everyone. The PTA has Holiday Helpers who can go into the school and classrooms to help ease the stress of the holiday season for the teachers. Different opportunities for volunteering will come out from Head Room Parents emails and "Class of" Facebook Pages. Field Day
Field Day
Avon Early Learning Center and Avon East host Field Day at the end of the school year as a fun-filled day of friendly competition for the students. The PTA staffs the events with volunteers. Watch for sign ups for Field Day in early May.
