Tribute by Daughter-in-law

Dear Mom:

The news of your recent passing shook me to the core. We had just celebrated your 80th birthday with you, and now, you're gone. But you truly did not belong to us. The Heavenly Father, to Whom you truly belonged, saw fit to take you Home. And, He did.

I will always remember that day, more than 30 years ago, when you opened your home and your heart to me . . . And, you've never closed them. You trusted me to love your only son and first born, and I hope I did not disappoint.

When last we spoke, you told me your heart was happy to know Dela was with someone who loved and cared about him. Do know that I will always be there for Dela. I will always be that soft place for him to fall.

Thank you, Mom, for being such an inspiration to me and to so many. You truly were a phenomenal woman; one I will not soon forget. We will always remember you. Rest quietly in Eternal Peace, until we meet again.
