Prof. A. Sabbadin's bibliography
«I am deeply sorrowful by the death of Armando Sabbadin, a man with lofty qualities and a high level researcher, who significantly contributed to the development of zoological research. The results of his studies and those of his pupils obtained numerous citations in the fields of ascidian biology and immunity. With his departure, one of the last figures of scientist disappears, who worked at a time when the researchers were not supported by particular and technologically advanced instruments, but were mostly supported by passion and used their intuition and rigorous personal experimental control.
I remember him for his good manners, kind friendship and modesty that distinguished him, always willing to support and encourage people with his intelligent criticism of their work in progress. He was not an "immunologist" sensu stricto, but he was a Scientist without barriers, supported by a productive curiosity, able to look beyond the limited spaces of the Academy. Comparative immunology represented for him the consequential development of the study of natural phenomena that permeate the animal world.
We are all aware of being epiphenomena of an unstoppable cycle, but it is important to leave a trace that will perpetuate in the new generations. This is the message he left us.»
