The summative evaluation consists of two areas. The first is the overall campus failure rate. If the three strategies have been successful there will be a dramatic drop in the campus failure rate. The second area is the percent of students meeting the standard in the 2010 – 2011 school year.
Before the next meeting I would provide each teacher with a survey to determine their perception of the professional development. Necessary adjustments can be made before the next meeting. The follow-up would start as a large group session where everyone can be given a chance to voice any complaints. Also the group would receive instructions as to the procedure for the follow-up. Each team will go to a room with their assigned facilitator. All group members will provide an update on implementing their action plan. The group will have a set of questions to guide the discussion and to ensure it remains constructive. The facilitator reports back to the Dean of instruction with any issues or concern.
