Victorian Railways - WW1 Rolls of Honour and Obituaries Lists

Rolls of Honour and Obituaries lists Published in Victorian Railways Commissioners Reports 1915 - 1920.

For each of the war years 1915 -1919 the Commissioner's Annual Report included the following -

A summary statement report on the railway employees at the war

An Honour Roll which was list of railway employees who had enlisted in the past year

An Obituary list of railway employees killed while serving at the war

The 1920 Commissioner's Annual Report did not included a summary statement or Honour Roll enlistment list but it did include a final complete Honour Roll Obituary List of Railway employees killed while serving at the war.

4509 Victorian Railway's employees enlisted in WW1

437 Victorian Railway's employees were killed in action.

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old;

Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.

At the going down of the sun and in the morning

We will remember them.
