Have just put up a new webpage on the Khaki Girls - Defence Girls

During the last war about 200 girls working at the Commonwealth clothing factory formed themselves into a group , known as the "Khaki Girls," and divided into a bugle band, a rifle squad, a physical culture squad and a dancing squad. Each section did excellent work for funds to help war time activities, giving concerts and entertainments, or taking part in functions all over the countryside.
