Indian Engineering College王立インド工学校

この単科大学は、1870年にインド植民地に勤務する土木技師を養成するためにイギリス政府によって設立された。

その設立に関して官民を挙げての議論がなされ、さらに設置後は各界へ多大な影響を与えた。

議論のもとになった資料は、イギリス土木学会によって次のようにまとめられた。

1.Education and Status of Civil Engineers in the Britain and Other Countries, Institute of Civil Engineers, 1869.

もう一つ、イギリスのインド省のために技術学校を創設するために産学官界の議論を博士論文としてまとめたものがある。
