Teaching tools: Spreadsheets

With a background on research related to stock flow consistent and agent based models, I am now deeply involved with teaching economics at an introductory level. To this end, I have been creating simple spreadsheets to support teaching and have been enjoying to see the impact it has on my students' learning abilities.

The spreadsheets facilitate teaching economic concepts by allowing students to observe the effects of shocks in an economic model and better vizualise the interconnections of an economic system; by allowing them to play with the equations and parameters for a deeper learning experience; by allowing scaffolding in classroom; by allowing discussions based on the assumptions of theories; by creating images on students memories that are retrieved later in the slides supports for more effective discussions.

The spreadsheets are presented in this website.
