All work must be saved in your Network Folder. Back up all work to a flash drive, DropBox Account, or other storage device.

Create these accounts with a parent: Due Internet Use form - signed by student and parent

  • Animoto account (with parent)
  • Picasa account (with parent)
  • Picnik account (with parent)
  • YouTube account (with parent)
  • Other accounts you wish to use need to be listed on the form with parent approval

Have these forms signed by student and parent

  • Camera Policy form - signed by student and parent
  • Internet Use agreement
  • Account Creation form

Lesson - Editing with Microsoft Picture Manager Due Date:

Use pictures of your own or those that are placed in the class folder

    • Crop
    • adjust light
    • adjust color
    • correct red eye
    • if it's bad - throw it away

Assignment - Uses of Settings - Due Date:

  • Turn off the flash
  • Use the portrait setting
  • Use the action setting
  • Use automatic setting
  • Use close-up setting
  • Use the grid to create an interesting off set (focus any place except the middle)

Basic editing funtions

  • Enhance a face to remove blemishes, wrinkles, etc.
    • Remember Camera Policy; you may not edit a person's face without their approval. Get it in writing or by e-mail. (adult staff members are a good choice here. Students under 11 may not be used. Students must give written permission)

Photoshop Elements Project #2 - Due Date:

Use layers and the cut and paste method to add images from one picture into another

  • Make the additions seem like they were originally in the picture

Prepare a lesson to share with the class - Due Date:

  • choose an appropriate and free online or downloadable photo editing program
  • Prepare a lesson showing the class how to use the program
  • Create a handout to go with your lesson
  • List of photo sharing/editing websites

PhotoStory 3 Project - Due Date:

Edit 8-10 related photos with your choice of software

  • Create a video using PhotoStory 3
  • The story must be school appropriate
    • Contain text, photographs and music
    • Use academic English (spelling, capitals, punctuation, grammar)
    • Tell a story (fiction or non fiction)
    • Use your own photographs
    • Post it toYouTube and send the link to your teacher or share in class
      • YouTube Class site
