Assignments Quarter 4

Copies of work must be saved to the student network folder and backed up to a secondary location (DropBox, Flash drive, email)

Requirements for all assignments:

  • All assignments must use academic English
  • spelling, capitalization, punctuation and grammar count
  • text must be easy to read
  • All topics must be school appropriate
  • All work must have a defined topic (be specific rather than general)

  • The topic is "You"
  • Fill the entire page and make it look balanced

Introduction Lesson B: Using text and graphics websites

Due Date 03-25-11

  • Create PowerPoint Slide(s) to show action text and/ or graphics

Microsoft Desktop Publishing Project #1 Due Date: 04-08-11

Choose a brochure or newsletter template from Microsoft

    • Complete the project by replacing all text pictures with information related to your topic
    • Be sure to have a classmate proof read your work
    • You may use assignments from another class
  • Use academic English (grammar, spelling, and punctuation)

PowerPoint Labled Diagram or Image #2 Due Date: 04-15-11

    • Create a Presentation on a school appropriate topic of your choice that uses a labled diagram with links to detail pages.
    • Use academic English (grammar, spelling, and punctuation)
    • Include images and text
    • Minimum of 12 slides

Excel Project #3Due Date: 04-22-11

    • Excel Spreadsheet with graph - create a spreadsheet to organize data from selected topics
    • Enter data from your choice of topics
    • Calculate a sum and average where appropriate
    • Create a meaningful graph of your data with appropriate lables and formatting
    • Use academic English (grammar, spelling, and punctuation)

Google Survey Project #4 Due Date: 04-29-11

    • Create a 5 question survey and send it to 5 people
    • Create the survey report of their responses and turn it in
    • You may use Google Docs Templates
    • Use academic English (grammar, spelling, and punctuation)

Excel Timeline Project #5 Due Date: 05-06-11

  • Choose a topic or person that is school appropriate
  • Create a time line with a minimum of 12 events
  • Add images that relate to the events
  • Use academic English (grammar, spelling, and punctuation)

Prezi or Prezentit Project #6 Due Date: 05-13-11

Choose a topic that is school appropriate

  • Create a presentation using Prezi or Prezentit with images, videos, text, and sound
  • Choose a projects appropriate to your grade level
    • Use academic English (grammar, spelling, and punctuation)

Award Certificates Project #7 Due Date 05-17-11

  • Choose an Award Certificate template from Microsoft Templates
  • Create a school appropriate award of your choice
    • Use academic English (grammar, spelling, and punctuation)
