TRAINING – INTRODUCTION TO THE UI JOB SEPARATION LAW
1. UNDERSTANDING YOUR JOB
Your real job is to issue written decisions which are based on the finding of specific facts, upon which you need to apply the correct law. Everything else you do (including the proper conducting of the hearings themselves, accessing and utilizing BEACON, etc.) is intended to facilitate the issuance of proper, legally sustainable written decisions.
2. A PRIMER FOR ISSUING DECISIONS
While there will be a separate (and more detailed) training module for how to craft a proper written decision, I think it will be helpful to introduce the law by first briefly discussing what a proper decision looks like. (LINK)
