The founder of our association Daouda Sadou from Cameroon moved to Germany in 1990 studying Electrical Engineering. Since the year 2000 he has been working for Continental Corporation in the area of safety electronics.
The naming of our association traces back to Daouda Sadou's grandmother. Her name was ANOM Cecile and in her hometown Bafia in South Cameroon she was the person of trust - not only for people's smaller worries but also for major difficulties. Especially for children she had a huge heart no matter of their origin or religion. She contributed with food, supported with donations of any kind and helped with words and deeds. In return she got very much appreciated was overall respected. ANOM Cecile passed away in September 2012 at the age of 82 years. Posthumously her grandson, Daouda Sadou, wanted to continue her life's work and philosophy helping people in need in Africa - primarily children - and supporting them in all circumstances.
Already in September 2013 – still before the association's foundation - the first private fund-raising campaign was conducted by Daouda Sadou. He distributed books, pens, crayons, sportswear and balls to the pupils at the local school in Bafia. Indeed he was very astonished by the high number of pupils in need and at the same time so much touched by their happy faces when receiving the gifts. But not only the children were more than happy about it, also the school principals, teachers and parents were very thankful for this relatively modest donation.
Since then, he has repeated his donation activity every year, and he is always awaited with full enthusiasm.
