Several years ago, I changed to a whole-food, plant-based eating style with no added salt, oil, or sugar. I look for high nutrient dense foods so they are as healthy as possible. I learned that it is not just how much you eat but what you eat that makes the difference in health as well as weight control.
Since then, I have been collecting recipes. I have found a few recipes ready to go but most of them were either too complicated for everyday use or needed some changes to fit with my eating style.
All of the recipes on this site are ones that I make frequently and we enjoy eating more each time I make them. It has been fun meeting the challenge of finding and creating healthy recipes that work with a whole-food, plant-based eating style. I hope you enjoy them as much as we do.
I've included a section in my Recipe Box I call Cooking Basics. There you will find a lot of general information about how to prepare ingredients and short cuts you can use to make cooking easier. I have included ways I have found to make things as easy as possible.

This is one of my favorite ways to prepare collard greens. The sun dried tomatoes add a little zip to the dish. This recipe also works well with kale.
