Workshops 2023 at Ancient Technology Centre 

Ancient Pottery Workshops with Bill Crumbleholme

An opportunity to work with a "master potter" to explore prehistoric pottery, the styles and decorations and uses, while getting hands-on experience making replicas using some of the methods Bill has researched and developed (but not perfected!) over the last few decades.

All materials supplied. Pots made on the day can be taken home unfired, but there may be an opportunity in the future to bring them to an ATC event to be fired using low technology firing techniques.

Suitable for any level of experience (or none). Over 16 years. 

Maximum ten people per workshop.

Wear old clothes, bring lunch.

Tickets via Eventbrite are £70 per person per day. See link above 

Refundable if cancelled at least 48 hours before start of workshop  (less Eventbrite fee - which is included in the ticket price). Send email to request refund, including a good excuse!

Learn traditional Woodcarving techniques with Mark Vyvyan-Penney. 

Learn how to use gouges and chisels and how to sharpen them.  

Create your own Woodcarving in the Viking or Celtic style and take it home with you
