Multi-modular Thoracic Endografts: We have quantified the displacement forces and the dislodgement stresses acting on the modules of a thoracic aortic endograft using a combination of CFD and CSM techniques. The region of larger inter-modular stresses and frictional instability correlated to the zone where a type III endoleak developed 4 years after the procedure.
