Leidseplein - is one of the best known of Amsterdam, mainly due to the large amount of shops, pubs, bars, coffeeshops, cinemas and theater. When it does not rain this square is an open-air party: it is common to see musicians, jugglers and other performers to enliven the area.

Rembrandtplein - although not as large as the Leidseplein, the Rembraintplein also possess enough animation. Bars, coffeeshops and some clubs (the famous Escape) are a source of attraction for this more central city point (more than the Leidseplein).

Dam / Damsquare - near the monument "Dam" here it is situated many nice cafes and pubs, although it has some influx of tourists is a very nice area during the day. For more excitement with pubs or coffee shops take the Damstraat Warmoesstraat.
