About Us

All Things Beautiful by Sami is a Black, female-owned and operated custom fashion and clothing design studio located in Tempe, Arizona. With over 30 years of experience in the industry, we have honed our expertise in various areas of fashion and style, from designing and constructing garments to performing precise alterations.

Our mission is to create and construct quality custom garments, costumes, and accessories that are uniquely tailored to each client's personal style and preferences. To fulfill each client's needs and desires, we prioritize understanding their exact requirements and pay meticulous attention to detail. This ensures a completed custom garment that will be cherished for many seasons.

At All Things Beautiful by Sami, we are dedicated to sustainability and often use upcycled materials to produce zero-waste garments. Our extensive skills and experience in fashion, costume, and accessory design allow us to bring your ideas, favorite patterns, or even treasured garments to life.

In the 1990s, I completed an apprenticeship at the Indiana Repertory Theatre in Indianapolis, IN. This invaluable experience enriched my skills and deepened my understanding of theatrical costuming.

While living in South Florida, we were deeply immersed in theatre costuming for productions such as "Mahalia," "The Gift Horse," "5 Guys Named Moe," "Ain’t Nothin But the Blues," and "King Hedley II," produced by The M Ensemble Company. We also contributed to "Sisters (A Celebration of the Human Spirit, 2015)" in collaboration with the African Heritage Cultural Arts Center's 40th Anniversary Celebration, and worked on "Camp Logan," "Wig Out," "For Your Love Sucker," and "Shakin’ the Mess Outta Misery," produced by various esteemed organizations.

For our private clientele, we offer a wide range of costuming services, including Halloween, Dragon Con, and Cosplay costumes, as well as diverse styles of garments for social events.
