'''Sanda Stolojan''' (b. 4 March 1919, d. 2 August 2005) was a Romanian poet, author and interpreter and exile from her native land. She and her husband each spent time in prison in Romania. They were ransomed by a French relative in the early 1960's.
She was a Romanian interpreter for the French Presidency for thirty years, from De Gaulle to Jacques Chirac. She is a former president of 'The League for Human Rights in Romania' (1984-1990).
