The Baltimore & Ohio's Akron Division stretched from New Castle, PA to Willard, OH. The Akron Division included various branch lines, including the Cleveland Terminal & Valley (CT&V) which began in Cleveland and ran through Akron and Canton ending in Mineral City, OH. The CT&V met the Akron division main line in Akron Ohio at a place known to the railroad as Akron Junction.

I chose Akron Junction and surrounding areas as the basis for my model railroad. I was not interested in modeling division point operations, but I wanted a busy main line and passenger operations as well. My plan includes Akron Junction, Akron Union Station, Howard Street Station on the CT&V, Cuyahoga Falls and Ravenna.
