Following the international standards of quality assurance and accreditation, teaching and learning are the main aim of any institution and department. Therefore, any instructor should take into account the standards of teaching and learning. In what follows, I enumerate the most important stimulation approaches for enhancing the way of teaching and spreading the culture of the academic research
- Stimulate research and teach research skills to postgraduate students by kick-starting research at the undergraduate level, specifically in capstone project, and link the research and teaching in the graduate-level classes, and learn the student how the authors do the research considering the ethics of publications.
- Learning the graduate-level students the ethics of scientific research such as the role of authorship, the concept of plagiarism, multiple, duplicate, and concurrent publication/simultaneous submission and other allegations.
- Declaring the instructional objectives and drawing the map and the matrix of the course.
- Use active learning in the class via calling on students for seeking the answers by generating questions and summarizing during the class, recalling prior material, and use of analytical, critical, and creative thinking in an interesting way.
- Use of modern technology in teaching and learning considering the following issues: active engagement with the learning material, Use of real-world issues, simulation and modeling, discussion and debate boards and forums, working groups, coaching, formative assessment.
- Use cooperative learning via encouraging the working groups to achieve the assigned tasks and to promote professional skills (e.g., a problem solving and solution, laboratory training and report, and the critical analysis).
