The harmonic teaching between practical and theoretical approaches is my own concern.
Below, are some important design philosophies for the teaching process.
- Practical has high weight for good qualification. So, students should have hands-on experience.
- Brainstorming to encourage the students to focus on a topic and contribute to the free flow of ideas.
- Simplification of difficult concepts for struggling learners.
- Support role and guiding for a project led by a junior student.
- Always looking for innovative methods of teaching using modern technology.
- Use induction, viewing, and advising.
- Give the students the confidence to solve problems and learn new approaches/technologies.
- Give undergraduate students a sense of the excitement of solving practical problems and research.
- Performing sessions for effective discussion
- Develop the way of the assessment and may replace the traditional exams by major projects or research paper in some advanced courses.
Summarizing, teaching process should be enhanced not only for results oriented work but also for exploratory work and solving practical and actual problems
