Physical activity significantly extends the lives of male cancer survivors, a study of 1,021 men has found. Men who expended more than 12,600 calories per week in physical activity were 48 percent less likely to die than those who burned fewer than 2,100 calories
Another benefit is you do not want tons of clots.
If you are too sick and in a bed
Make sure you move your body, change positions. Do not always be on the same side.
If you are too weak but mobile.
Keep trying just a little bit. baby steps.
Fyi... My dad - when he was really feeling bad, he was always laying on one side. He developed clots on that side. So every 20 -40 minutes, you must move positions. Now that he has more strength he goes for walks. And slowly after several months he now can go for a brisk 2 hour walk.
