Enzymes help digest the food.
My dad is taking Creon dr 12000 units.
What was odd was the doctor did not prescribe the enzymes right away. My dad was losing weight but was retaining a ton of water - so it looked like he was maintaining his weight . I wish doctors are more proactive in prescribing the enzymes instead of reactive.
Recommendation - ask for and say you really want enzymes now. Do not settle for over the counter enzymes. You need real enzymes.
