Dr. Hugo Aguilaniu, PIHugo obtained his PhD in Gothenburg, Sweden in Thomas Nyström's lab where he worked on oxidatively damaged protein management in S. cerevisiae. From there, he joined Andy Dillin's lab at the Salk Institute for Biological Studies where he worked on the genetics of Dietary Restriction in C. elegans. After joining the CNRS, Hugo started the lab in 2007 at the ENS de Lyon. Today, the lab works on the genetic of aging with a special focus on the links between reproduction, nutrition and aging.

Since I arrived in the Aguilaniu lab in October 2011, I have worked, on genes involved on fat metabolism and that are linked to the reproductive system (This project is shared with Stéphanie Bellemin). My second project deals with skn-1/Nrf2 mediated longevity. Like Stephanie, I am also part of the EPHE program.
