I climbed the most important alpine walls and in the context of the scientific-mountaineering expedition Roma 8000, I reached the summit of Cho Oyu (8.201mt), alone, without oxygen.
I have done more than 400 ascents TD and ED, some of them by using the bike for the approach from Rome, later from Lausanne or from Grenoble. A large part of them has been done alone (winter ascent of Dent Blanche, Via Aste Susatti to the NW face of Civetta, solo ascent of Mitchka at South face of Meije in one day…).
I have done many bike trips: in 1994, with my brother, I crossed the US, from Boston to S Francisco (i.e., against the wind) in 32 days (6.200 km). In 1999, alone, I went to Caucasus from Rome (about 6.000 km), with the goal of climbing Mt Elbrus (5642m) – the trip ended up in a prison in the Baksan valley for illegal entry in Russia [few pictures: in the Kodori valley, in prison, at Georgia-Kabardino-Balkaria border, Elbrus on my back].
In 2006, with three friends, I climbed the Mont Blanc directly from Lausanne, go and back, in less than one day (274km by bike, positive elevation gain 5000m, 23 hours; more details are here). In 2009, alone, I climbed the Dome des Ecrins (4015m) directly from Grenoble in 22 hours, go and back, by using my bike and by carrying the ski. More details here.
Since 2009 I have navigated alone with a small kayak on Mediterranean, by crossing the sea to reach small islands: Elba, Capraia, Corse, Pianosa, etc. In 2009, at my first kayak experience, I circumnavigated Corse in only 11 days. In 2013 I reached Sardinia, leaving from Toscana (Pta Ala), in full autonomy. Up to now (2016), I reached three times Sardinia from Toscana always in full autonomy.
Since 1994 I have been alpine-Instructor in the Alpine School Paolo Consiglio of Rome (Italy) and since 2002 I have been National Alpine Instructor (INA).
