Dr. Anna (Anneke) Sools,

As a committee we were particularly impressed by the unique contributions your work makes to the theoretical understandings in narrative studies. Your particular contribution to consider the future dimensions of narratives is significant and unique. It is interesting how ‘narrative futuring’ is both a method and an intervention – we can see in your work that this requires careful attention and creativity. It is also wonderful to see how you have established a Dutch network of narrative researchers and colleagues.

Dr. Hanna Meretoja

As a committee we were particularly impressed by your substantive contributions and commitment to narrative research. It was wonderful to see that you work with a large cohort of graduate students, who - without doubt - benefit from your expertise and commitment. We took particular interest how you have been part of building a large scholarly community across disciplines so early in your career. Thank you for sending us your latest manuscript entitled The Ethics of Storytelling, it was such an insightful and interesting read.
