Junior advisory focuses on life after high school and applying to college, as well as giving students time to work on their 21st Century Portfolio Presentations in preparation for senior year. The junior team took over creating lessons and sending them out week by week to accommodate the need for flexibility around college prep and building portfolios.
Students complete three Student Led Conferences each year. Junior year is the bridge between sophomore year, where students share goals, grades, and progress in each class, and senior year, where students focus more on practicing presenting the 21st Century Competencies. Students begin to focus more on presenting their work and how it connects to the 21st Century Competencies, as well as using the language from the rubric, as well as on overarching goals and achievement.
