Bus terminus merthyr bus.
For dowlais top you had to take red/white tredegar bus .
red/white cafe nxt to tailors shop above
was first official stop from town for getting off
11pm was the last bus leaving merthyr, from outside the Wheatsheaf ,in
Gleabland st. on a weekend ,it would be packed ! By the time it reached
dowlais it was nearly empty .with people jumping off all the way up
whilst the bus was going.
Dangerous but hillarious to see the not so
stable tumbling along the road ( never heard of any serious injury
bet there are many stories to tell of the red and white roll.
( some drivers would slow down to let boys jump)
But some
would slow down then accellerate the b- - - - -s )
