Determine date for current school year Staff Appreciation Week-can be found online.
Try to plan an event/activity(ies) for each day of the week.
Coordinate with Barb Edwards in front office…get # of staff from her, too. (This includes all staff at ADL ... ot just teachers.)
There are many ideas online-be creative. If in doubt on anything, check with principal for permission.
Be sure to properly acknowledge any businesses/individuals that may have made contributions or donations-usually done in Essex Reporter a week or two following Staff Appreciation Week.
Ideas for activities/events
Breakfast/luncheon-donations from parents/businesses for food
Bouquet of roses or other flower-each member of the staff receives one that day
Coffee cart with desserts-solicit food donations from parents/businesses
Daily raffle prizes-solicit items from parents/businesses
Massages-set up a spa room
Daily gift for teachers, i.e. potted plant, mugs of appreciation, etc. (There are lots of these ideas online.)
Daily quote on computer marquee in front lobby, quote or thank you expression on outdoor school marquee for the week.
